Spanish door manufacturer to shed jobs

29 June 2010

Spanish door manufacturer Norma Doors, part of the Jeld-Wen group, is suspending the contracts of 512 workers.

The move comes as the company looks to restructure its workforce.

Labour authorities are assessing the plans and consultations have opened between the company and workers’ representatives.

San Leonardo-based Norma, established in 1955, is a leader in the Spanish door market with a production of more than one million units.
