Spanish university hosts forestry remote sensing conference

9 August 2010

Remote sensing techniques to improve forest management will be the focus of attention at a Spanish conference on September 7-9.

ForestSat 2010 will bring together researchers, developers and end users at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Lugo.

The conference aims to present tools available for capturing information on a mass scale to forestry technicians, identify forestry applications in remote sensing and improve accessibility to information derived from new mapping techniques and the management of Spatial Data Infrastructures

The event is being organised by a research and teaching group at the university, plus UK-based Forest Research.
