Speakers line up for Wood Futures conference

BT futurologist Jonathan Mitchener and Jenny McInnes, from Defra, will speak at TTJ’s Wood Futures Conference, taking placeon November 8 at the Royal Festival Hall, London.

Ms McInnes, who works on illegal logging policy for Defra’s EU & International Co-ordination Division, will outline the government’s current timber procurement policy and how it plans to develop the rules.

Mr Mitchener, head of Device Evolution research at BT’s Group Chief Technology Office, will address the advancement of technology in the timber industry and examine the possibilities and pitfalls of the sector’s hi-tech future.
