27 February 2007

Stewart Milne Group, which is a sponsor at the Ideal Home Show, is to host a programme of business-to-business seminars during the exhibition.

The company, whose products are incorporated into the showhomes, said it has lined up a powerful panel of industry speakers to encourage lively discussion and debate on key industry issues.

The host will be journalist and TV presenter Alice Beer, of Watchdog and Hot Property, and each event will be followed by a tour of the show village and a buffet reception.

The seminars are: March 9, designing zero carbon homes; March 14, the vision behind the design of ideal homes; March 15, designing homes for tomorrow's lifestyles; March 22, house design, modern build methods and safety; and March 29, designing homes that will have value in 2030.

Stewart Milne Group said it was spon-soring the show, which runs at Earls Court from March 9 to April 1, as sup-port for its UK expansion plans. Stewart Milne Timber Systems provides the tim-ber frames for all three houses in the show village.

Designed by Young Architects of the Year 2005, Lynch Architects, the homes fuse modern innovations with traditional techniques, showcasing the flexibility and potential of timber systems, the company said.
