Stewart Milne Timber Systems boosts senior team

Stewart Milne Timber has extended its team with the appointment of Paul Smollett as commercial director.

Mr Smollett has worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years, holding various senior commercial roles within national housebuilders and specialist contractors. He has particular expertise in the development of specialist sub-contract products for sustainability and off-site construction.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the company’s commercial and procurement activities across the UK.

Also new to the company is Paul Tappin, who takes up the role of business development manager for Wales, the west and south-west of England.

Mr Tappin has extensive technical knowledge of timber frame construction and has almost 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. He will be responsible for developing relationships with developers, contractors and RSLs and generating new sales in the area.
