Stora Enso manager elected to FFIF chair

Stora Enso country manager (Finland) Juha Vanhainen has been elected as the chairman of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation for 2012.

Metsä-Botnia president and CEO Ilkka Hämälä, and UPM-Kymmene executive-vice president Hans Sohlström have been appointed vice-chairmen.

The executive committee also comprises Versowood managing director Pekka Kopra; ER-Saha-Oy managing director Olli Poutanen; SCA Packaging Finland Oy managing director Sari Rämö; and Pölkky Oy CEO Jouko Virranniemi.

Representatives of 29 member companies were elected to the board of directors for 2012. Metsä-Botnia president and CEO Ilkka Hämälä and Finndomo Oy CEO Tapio Pitkänen are the only new members.
