Tender: Four Forest Management Contracts

INVITATION TO BID FOR FOUR FOREST MANAGEMENT CONTRACTS

In continuation of its drive to restart logging activities in Liberia, the Government of Liberia through the Forestry Development Authority informs interested companies pre-qualified for Forest Management Contracts or FMCs that bid documents will be available for purchase as of Friday December 5, 2008 at the Central office of the FDA located at Kappa House Elise Saliby Compound, Congo Town Monrovia.

The four Forest Management Contracts are specified as follows:

1. Forest Management Contract Area “F” located in Grand Gedeh and River Gee Counties and comprising 253,670 hectare

2. Forest Management Contract Area “I” located in Grand Gedeh and Sinoe Counties and covering 131,466 hectare

3. Forest Management Contract Area “K” located in Nimba, Grand Gedeh and Rivercess County with 266,910 hectare and

4. Forest Management Contract Area “P” located in Grand Kru, Maryland and River Gee Counties and comprising 119,344 hectare

Bids must be delivered to the below address on or before Thursday 19th February 2009 not later than 10:00 a.m. followed by the opening of the bids at 11:00 a.m. the same day at the Corina Hotel, Located on Tubman Boulevard.

Bids brought after the above deadline for submission will not be accepted.
