Daltons Wadkin has supplied vertical and horizontal cutting solutions to Northumbria University.
The university chose a compact Elcon 135D vertical panel saw for its fine art woodwork workshop, while a top-of-the-range Altendorf F45 horizontal saw was chosen for the City Campus East design department.
“We have supplied a number of machines to Northumbria University but it is not often that we are asked to put in both vertical and horizontal panel saws at the same time,” said Alex Dalton.
The Elcon features a 60mm cutting depth, 4kW saw motor and double cut scoring facility, while the Altendorf F45 includes a 7.5kW main saw motor, 3.2m sliding table, two-axis scoring, Rapido scoring system and electro pneumatic clamping.
Meanwhile, Daltons Wadkin has also supplied an Altendorf WA6 model to James Cropper, which provides specialty papers and laminated material for industry applications and value-added board products.
