Timber Academy inspires careers advisers

Finnforest’s Boston Timber Academy has proved the perfect stage for the timber industry’s latest careers adviser event.

The day-long session took place at the Finnforest centre on November 27, and saw 13 careers advisers, who represent thousands of young people from across Lincolnshire, hear from young Finnforest employees, SCA Timber Supply, the Forestry Commission, the British Woodworking Federation and the Institute of Carpenters.

The careers adviser days are part of The Timber Trade Federation’s Education, Training and Careers Committee programme to improve awareness of the employment opportunities in the timber industry.
