Timber interest in Ecobuild grows

Timber sector involvement in the popular Ecobuild + Futurebuild 2009 exhibition is increasing.

TRADA, The Timber Trade Federation and wood for good are supporting the Timber Works area, which will see companies showcasing timber products and services.

The feature brings together a number of timber-related companies, including Allwood Timber Construction, ARCO2 Architecture, Brooks Bros (UK), Capricorn Timber, English Brothers, Hoppings Softwood Products, James Latham, Wolf Systems, Woodsource Wales and Greenwood Floors.

Exhibition organiser International Business Events Ltd (IBE) said other timber companies to book stands in the exhibition include Finnforest, Howarth Timber Engineering, B&K Timber Structures, BSW Timber, Arch Timber Protection, Arnold Laver, Jeld-Wen, Jewson, UCM Timber, Nordan, Kronoply and Janex.

“Timber companies are keen to tap into a market hungry for innovative and sustainable solutions,” said IBE.

Meanwhile, TRADA is taking part in the show’s extensive seminar programme, and forest certification scheme PEFC willl explain the benefits of its certification work. Devon-based Carpenter Oak Ltd will give live demonstrations of oak construction methods.

The March 3-5 event at Earl’s Court will feature more than 800 exhibitors.
