Timber presence gets a boost at Interbuild 2006

12 October 2004

A "Timber Zone" will be created at Interbuild 2006 to improve wood's presence at the show and help boost attendance by architects and engineers.

TRADA has teamed up with Interbuild organisers emap to provide the zone at the Birmingham NEC show on April 23-27.

The zone will include a TRADA seminar theatre, running a programme of continuing professional development sessions, as well as an "ask the expert" lounge with a timber case study gallery, plus displays of timber products and services.

Rupert Scott, TRADA Group marketing manager, said: "Interest in timber among engineers and architects is growing, partly because of its design potential, but also because of its environmental credentials at a time when green considerations are of increasing importance."
