Timber solution for Finnish canoe company

Glulam, Kerto LVL and timber cladding features at the Bear & Water canoeing equipment shop in Sipoo, Finland.

Metsäliitto Wood Products Industry delivered a glulam frame, Finnforest roof panels, LVL for the wall and shelf structures and a range of 312mm high/42mm thick King panel timber cladding, made from split glulam beams.

“Timber is the natural construction material in Finland and should be used more often,” said the shop’s owner Björn Lehtinen.

Bear & Water sells about 1,500 canoes per year, most of them solo kayaks, and is among the top five canoe makers in Europe.
