31 January 2014

Several timber companies will be targeting architects, specifiers, designers and shopfitters at next week’s Surface Design Show at London’s Business Design Centre.

Timber products distributor Meyer Timber is exhibiting at the February 4-6 show for the first time, exhibiting veneered boards and a moisture resistant version of the Aranya veneered MDF collection, among other products.

Hardwood sawmiller WL West & Sons Ltd will use the show to launch its new relationship with Bavarian shingle maker Rapold GmbH. West has been appointed UK distributor for Rapold and will offer the latter's hand cleft roof and wall cladding shingles in oak, larch, robinia, white fir and spruce, and also a cleft tile for internal walls under the Soul of Wood brand.

Other exhibitors include James Latham, which will show Accoya modified wood cladding and UPM's Profi-Deck, manufactured using American red and white oak fibres which are heat-treated and encapsulated in a hard polymer shell.

Cladding specialist A Proctor Group and timber flooring suppliers Barhan & Sons and Timber Natural will also be targeting visitors.
