TRA focuses on carbon debate

13 February 2013

Trussed rafter fabricators will get to grips with the carbon debate when they congregate for the annual Trussed Rafter Association (TRA) AGM and dinner this month.

The event, to be held at the Abbey Hotel in Redditch on February 28, will see a post-AGM Question Time-style debate on how zero carbon legislation is affecting housebuilders in the UK and how TRA members can potentially add value to their products by helping builders achieve these targets.

Zero Carbon Hub director Rob Panell; the Timber Trade Federation's Stuart Harker; TTF and Wood for Good head of external affairs David Hopkins; and a fabricator will make up the panel, chaired by Jeremy English of Crown Timber plc. They will talk about carbon, the need for wider data and the industry's narrative to drive increased sales of trusses.

The event will also see the launch of the TRA's new website, while an informal dinner will wrap up proceedings.
