TRADA makes dates for visual grading

TRADA Technology Ltd has announced the dates for its series of visual strength grading courses in 2009.

The seven-day TG1 Visual strength grading – softwood courses, split across two periods, will take place on January 27-30 and February 2-4, March 24-27 and March 30-April 1, June 16-19 and June 22-24, September 15-18 and September 21-23 and November 17-20 and November 23-25. It will provide guidance on visual grading to BS 4978 ‘Visual strength grading of softwood’.

TG3 Visual strength grading – hardwood (Temperate and Tropical), is to take place July 1-3 and December 2-4. It grades to BS 5756 ‘Specification for visual strength grading of hardwood’.

TG2, the resit course for the visual strength grading of softwood, has been scheduled to take place February 2-4, March 30-April 1, June 22-24, September 21-23 and November 23-25.

TG4 Scaffold board grading takes place November 10-13. It aims for BS 2482 ‘Specification for timber scaffold boards’.

All the courses are to be held at TRADA’s High Wycombe headquarters.
