TRADA takes to the road

15 July 2006

TRADA’s successful timber frame training course is going on the road again due to popular demand.

“The A-Z of Timber Frame”, run through TRADA’s frameCHECK service, will be held at five locations across the UK and in Ireland between September and the end of 2006.

The one-day course covers several aspects of timber frame, including market position, design, manufacture, erection, Building Regulations, disproportionate collapse, differential movement and cladding.

Aimed at designers, manufacturers, builders and project managers, the course will kick off again at Bristol on September 20 before stopping at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Stoke-on-Trent, Dublin and High Wycombe.

frameCHECK is also holding other one-day training courses at its High Wycombe headquarters, including “Timber frame: manufacture & erection”, “Everyone’s talking about timber frame – are they right?” and “Timber frame buildings: design & build”.

“Timber frame design for architects” will also be repeated at High Wycombe on October 3.
