TRADA’s Giraffe in line for award
22 November 2012TRADA’s Giraffe Pavilion, which it commissioned from Ramboll Computational Design for the Timber Expo show, is shortlisted for a new award.
The gridshell structure is one of three projects up for the Temporary Structure category of the Surface Design Awards, which has had entries from across Europe.
The Awards will be presented at the Surface Design Show, where TRADA will be exhibiting for the first time, in February.
The Giraffe Pavilion is made in 28 birch plywood panels from James Latham, treated with Lonza Dricon fire retardant and CNC routed by Timbmet.
