Trail marks 25-year service

Donaldson Timber Engineering (DTE) is celebrating the dedication of its employees, as two members of staff complete 25 years of service.

Jim Trail, sideloader driver at DTE’s Buckhaven branch, is the most recent employee to complete 25 years. He joined James Donaldson & Sons Ltd in August 1984, and has been with the group’s timber engineering company, DTE, since it was established in 1986.

To mark the occasion, Mr Trail was presented with a certificate and gift by James Donaldson & Sons chairman and chief executive Neil Donaldson.

Mr Trail follows Colin Nisbet, also of DTE Buckhaven, who reached the 25-year milestone last year. The two men are among 46 employees to have been with the company for over 20 years.

Mr Donaldson said the amount of long service was a reflection of the company’s culture.

“Despite having around 600 employees, the James Donaldson & Sons Group is not a faceless corporation. We’re a family business with a family ethos, resulting in loyal, lasting employees and an excellent length of service record,” he said.
