TTBS National Golf rescheduled to July 8

28 January 2021

After the disappointment of having to cancel the 2020 event, the TTBS has rescheduled its National Golf Day to July 8 – this is a Thursday, which is a trial from the normal Friday event. The venue remains the same – The Marriott Breadsall Priory in Morley and the sponsor is Taylor Maxwell.

“Obviously, the event can only be staged provided the UK government lifts restrictions to allow hotels and golf courses to re-open and operate fully,” said Ivan Savage, TTBS general manager. “Fingers crossed this will be so.”

The format for the event will be as normal:

Breakfast: Tea/coffee/bacon rolls in the Pavilion Room (for those not using the hotel facilities)

Nine holes, AM, Greensomes on the Moorland course

Lunch: Sandwiches and fries in the Pavilion Room

18 holes Individual Stableford on the Priory course

Three-course dinner and prize presentation in the Pavilion Room

The rate for the above package is £145 per player.

Buggies have been reserved for an extra over rate of £40 for all day (27 holes) use based on two players sharing, which need to be reserved with the Pro Shop.

A limited 30 rooms accommodation has also been reserved for both Wednesday July 7 and Thursday July 8 at a special rate of £98 per person (single occupancy) per night and £108 (double occupancy) per night, including breakfast.

All room reservations/payments should be made direct via res-Link or Marriott Central Reservation and quoting L9P. Initially, there are 30 rooms reserved for both nights, which are reserved until the end of March. Once these have been filled, a further allocation may be provided, but reservations need to be made as soon as possible as accommodation is not unlimited.

There will be places available for additional non-playing guests for the dinner, which will be charged at an extra over rate.

“After such a dreadful 12 months, with limited golf opportunities, I am hoping for a very strong response for this event, particularly from the 2019 trophy winners,” said Mr Savage. “So please ensure you reserve your place/s with me and for your rooms at Breadsall Priory as soon as possible.”
