TTJ Awards 20th anniversary to set bold new tone

15 January 2016

The TTJ Awards will be setting a bold new tone for its 20th anniversary this year by moving venue to The Brewery by the City of London.

The lunchtime event, which also sees a change in being held on a Friday this year, will take place on September 30.

The Brewery, the site of the former Whitbread brewery, is located close to the heart of the City’s financial district and near the East End roots of the London timber trade.

Guests will mingle in the Porter Tun room, featuring a 170ft king post timber roof.

Sponsorship for the TTJ Awards 2016 has almost sold out nine months before the event.

This year we are pleased to announce that James Latham has become Headline Sponsor and that new awards categories will include a Lifetime Achievement Award. “We were thrilled about the success of last year’s event and want to move the Awards forward, giving it a fresh tone for its 20th year,” said TTJ group editor Stephen Powney.

“The first event in 1997 at The Savoy attracted 150 people from across the timber supply chain. This year we hope to expect around 400.”

The host and guest speaker for this year’s event will be announced shortly.
