US Forest Service sued

An environmental group has filed a lawsuit against the US Forest Service for allegedly ignoring aspects of the National Forest Management Act.

The Utah Environmental Congress claims the Forest Service has failed to monitor properly wildlife population trends in three state national parks.

Species monitoring is used to measure the impact of timber and road construction projects on wildlife and fish habitats.
