Weinig is TTJ Awards 2011 Gold Sponsor

1 August 2011

Leading wood processing machinery manufacturer Weinig has agreed to be Gold Sponsor for the 2011 TTJ Awards.

This marks the sixth year that the German-based global business has supported the event and its decision was welcomed by TTJ editor Mike Jeffree.

“It’s great to have Weinig on board for the TTJ Awards once more,” he said. “It is one of the biggest names in the worldwide timber business and, as it showed again at the Ligna exhibition in Germany in May, with the launch of such technology as the Cube planer/moulder and Multirex solid timber machining centre, it is one of the most technically innovative machinery producers in the market.

"To have such a well-known and respected brand associated with the Awards is a very big plus for TTJ – especially in what will be a particularly special year for us. It is the 15th TTJ Awards, so quite a milestone, and we’re in a brand new venue, The Grand Connaught Rooms.”

As Gold Sponsor, Weinig is backing the Timber Trader of the Year Award. This goes to the timber business which has received most votes across all the TTJ Trader of the Year Categories: Hardwood, Softwood, Plywood and Panel Products.

“The winner of the Timber Trader of the Year Award clearly has to excel across all areas of the timber business,” said Mr Jeffree.

The TTJ Awards 2011 presentations lunch takes place at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, London on Thursday, September 15.
