Wind farm deal finalised on Coillte land

7 September 2010

Irish state forester Coillte has finalised an agreement to co-develop one of Ireland’s largest wind energy projects with Finavera Renewables and Scottish and Southern Energy.

Twenty-two turbines will be built in the first phase of the project on Coillte's land in Cloosh Valley, in Co Galway. On completion the 105MW wind farm will supply more than 60,000 homes with electricity.
