Wood Awards now open for entries

Organisers have also announced the return of the Forestry Commision as one of the sponsors of the event.

This year the awards will feature all entries on its Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest social media pages.

This online exhibition of all entries as they are received is designed to inspire others and receive exposure before the shortlist is even considered.

Main categories are commercial and Public Access, Private, Small project, Structural, Repair and Adaptive reuse, Bespoke furniture and Production-made furniture. Canada Wood is again a lead sponsor, joining founding sponsors the American Hardwood Export Council and the Carpenters’ Company, with major sponsors Wood for Good and TRADA.

Other sponsors include American Softwoods and the Forestry Commission.

The closing deadline for entries is May 24. Eligible buildings or furniture need to have been completed within the last two years.
