Wood to get special showing

“100% Materials: Wood”, supported by The American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), International Timber and Wood for Good, is intended to inspire and inform architects and designers on more than 150 wood products, from super-light wood/foam composites to dense engineered woods.

Product designer Chris Lefteri is creating wood samples to be handled by visitors, with labelling illustrating origin, key features, applications, sustainability, availability, cost and supplier details.

Additional support is being provided by the Malaysian Timber Council, Timber Trade Federation and TRADA.

Projects shortlisted in this year's Wood Awards will also be on display at 100% Detail, which is held at Earls Court on September 21-24. Thirty-six projects will feature in the display, being facilitated by AHEC.
