WWF gridshell project progresses

4 February 2013

Work is progressing on WWF-UK’s new £13m headquarters, which is to feature a striking curved timber gridshell roof.

The timber roof is currently being erected at the new Sustainable Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey.

The 80m-long gridshell will cover an open plan workplace for 300 staff on two levels, a 150-seat conference venue, education facilities and the WWF Experience exhibit.

The building, situated over a former car park, aims to maximise on-site sustainable features and will target a BREEAM Outstanding rating.
