Composite Prime and Taylor Maxwell cement distribution partnership

A distribution tie-up with Taylor Maxwell has resulted in an increase in Composite Prime’s market share, said the company.

Taylor Maxwell is distributing Composite Prime’s HD Deck Dual and HD Deck XS, supplying timber and builders’ merchants with stock nationwide.

“This is a great deal for both enterprises, and very timely,” said Taylor Maxwell’s managing director Tony Hammond.

“During the last decade, sales of decking and landscaping products have seen huge†growth. They’re now seen very much as an integral part of the commercial and domestic lifestyle ‘must have’.

“We have played a significant role in the development of these markets, specifically softwood decking, and for the last three years†have been searching for a volume producer of a high-quality composite decking.

“Composite Prime’s entry into the market has come at exactly the right moment. They presented as the perfect partner in terms of quality, market support and desire to create a network of merchant stockists nationally.”

“The fit with our national sales coverage and large customer base of timber/fencing and builders’ merchants, and the route to market that Composite Prime were pushing for, proved perfect,” added director Tony Shelton. “We now have a unique offering as Composite Prime’s distributor, which protects and supports the stockist network, alongside a product that stands up to the scrutiny of independent testing.”

“This is a perfect fit for us,” agreed Composite Prime’s managing director Domenic Harrison. “Taylor Maxwell is a recognised and reputable name in the high-status market sectors that we are targeting, with the aim of increasing the awareness of our decking portfolio.”

“The current climate has helped boost interest across both the commercial and consumer retail sectors,” added Composite Prime’s commercial Director Rudy Micallef. “With the long, hot summer of 2018 increasing demand for smart solutions in the booming ‘outdoor living’ market, there are strong prospects of further significant growth for both companies.”
