Harrow joiners destroyed in blaze

15 September 2017

A Harrow joinery company’s two-storey warehouse was destroyed in a blaze which also forced the closure of the adjacent West Coast main railway line last night.

London Fire Brigade photos show the name Pacestar Joinery on the building affected by the fire.

Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters and officers were called to the fire in Chantry Place. Twelve people were evacuated from nearby properties as a precaution. There were no reports of any injuries.

“The site is next to Headstone Lane train station and trains were stopped,” said London Fire Brigade.

“Crews worked very hard through the night at this challenging incident to bring the fire under control.”

The brigade said the cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
