LUMIN TRP roadshow showcases plywood range to James Latham
1 December 2023LUMIN, a leading South American plywood producer, has partnered with James Latham to deliver a roadshow of its LUMIN TRP (Tropical Replacement Panel) plywood.
The roadshow visited all 10 Latham panel depots across the UK and Ireland to educate sales staff on the benefits of LUMIN TRP, including the narrative about it presenting a long term, sustainable alternative to traditional tropical hardwoods.
LUMIN TRP is produced from 100% plantation grown pruned Eucalyptus Grandis in Uruguay and is 100% FSC-certified.
The roadshow events have seen John Guerin, LUMIN’s European director, meet more than 100 depot staff to share the environmental and performance benefits of LUMIN TRP.
“James Latham closely align with our own values, making them a strategic partner to drive LUMIN TRP plywood forward,” commented Mr Guerin.
Widely specified in commercial and residential construction including applications where surface finishing is important and a multitude of other end uses, LUMIN TRP is available in a range of grades and thicknesses from 5.5mm to 21mm.
All LUMIN TRP panels are structurally certified to CE2+, UKCA backed by Element BV / TRADA.
LUMIN has invested close to US$40m on the first TRP mill, with plans announced for a further US$140m investment to increase volumes significantly by 2026.
