Medite meets the brief
26 March 2007Medite Premier, from the new range of Medite Europe's MDF, has been used to create self-contained pod-style meeting rooms for a London-based international legal practice.
The rooms are part of a new headquarters for Norton Rose at More London Riverside. Each room is 100m2 enclosed with curved paneled walls made from Medite Premier. They were produced and installed by architectural joinery specialists Taylor Made Joinery.
The walls were glued and laminated in 3mm-thick sheets to build up a total thickness of 18mm. These were then bag pressed around a shaped polystyrene mould to achieve a precise curve, which was cut, bored and routed to meet requirements.
Standard 18mm sheets were used for the flat panels.
