Mike England Timber expands
7 January 2019Mike England Timber, the Preston-based independent hardwood and softwood supplier has expanded its processing and storage facilities.
Smart-Space has completed the construction of a timber processing and storage facility measuring 10m by 32.5m.
It houses storage racking as well as the compressors, dust extraction, sanding, texturing, vacuum coating and brush coating machinery required for the company’s timber coating, texturing and drying processes.
“We have experienced significant growth over the last few years in our traditional markets and have expanded into the outdoor buildings and leisure sectors,” said Jeanette Corner, managing director.
“This new facility enables us to shorten our lead times and to take on more business by batch processing bespoke orders – providing customers with a more flexible, efficient and effective service, whilst maintaining high levels of quality.”
