New co-ordinator appointed for TTJ Awards

Vicki Walker, of TTJ sister company VRL Financial News, is the co-ordinator of this year’s TTJ Awards.

After completing a degree in business and languages at Oxford Brookes University Ms Walker moved to Barcelona in 2002 where she worked for legal firm Anafric translating legal reports and managing press reviews. She then joined film and TV licensing company Copyright Promotions where her passion for branding, PR and live events came to the fore.

In 2004, Ms Walker returned to the UK, joining VRL’s international events team and progressing to logistics manager. She also worked closely with the marketing department, assisting in brand exposure across all events and was instrumental in company brand strategy decisions including the overall rebranding.

In 2007 she joined Ernst and Young Global’s event management team where she was responsible for organising high-level meetings for company chief executives and, amongst other skills, developed her legal competencies through working on protocol documents for each event.

In 2008 Ms Walker returned to VRL where she is now head of events.
