Premier makes three key appointments

3 December 2020

Premier Forest Group has made three key new appointments as it continues to pursue ambitious growth plans.

Joanne Stark has joined as marketing manager along with two new sales executives, John Williams and Mark Jenkins. All three come with a wealth of industry experience and will help the Welsh-headquartered business increase market share and unlock new, profitable avenues.

Ms Stark, who has been a judge for the Construction Marketing Awards, has an extensive background in construction and distribution marketing and will be integral in helping Premier launch a series of new products.

“It’s great to be joining such an entrepreneurial company with a clear focus on customer service,” she said. “This is an exciting time for the business and I’m looking forward to helping drive the targeted growth the company has planned.”

Sales executives John Williams and Mark Jenkins bring with them over 55 years’ experience in the timber sector. During that time, Mr Williams has specialised in the decorative market, while Mr Jenkins has built an extensive network across Wales and the south-west.

“I’m excited by the breadth of Premier Forest Group’s offering and am keen to help new and existing customers find solutions to their project challenges with Premier’s extensive range of products,” said Mr Williams.

“Premier Forest Group has an excellent reputation across the industry and I’m keen to get my feet under the table and start supporting our customers, through the rest of 2020 and beyond,” said Mr Jenkins.

“At a time when many businesses are reducing their teams, Premier is expanding, which is indicative of the strength and ambitions of the company,” said Joe Walker, managing director.

“With our focus on customer service it is vital to us that we have the highest calibre of staff and I’m confident that Joanne, John and Mark will significantly strengthen our already excellent team.”

Premier Forest Group is a vertically integrated timber operation engaged in the importation, sawmilling, processing, merchanting, and wholesale distribution of timber and timber products from its 16 sites in the UK and Ireland.
