Revenue growth slows for Russian forest products companies

In 2017 the total revenue of the 10 biggest forest products companies in Russia amounted RUB339.4bn (US$5.1bn), according to the annual Top 50 Russian forest-based sector companies rating published by Lesnaya Industriya magazine.

The top three leaders of the rating have not changed: Ilim Group, Mondi Syktyvkar and Segezha Group.

The Ilim Group reported that 2017 revenues decreased by 1.1% to RUB110.4bn, with net profit down 27.7% to RUB18.956bn. Mondi Syktyvkar was ranked second: In 2017 its revenues were flat compared to the previous year at RUB54.944bn (+0.03%).

The third company in the ratings was Segezha Group (part of AFK Sistema). The company’s revenue increased by 1.63% to RUB43.7bn in 2017.
