Snows Timber celebrates 10 years of certification
5 December 2014Snows Timber is marking 10 years of dual FSC and PEFC chain of custody certification by presenting a Scots pine sapling to its top 100 customers.
“Chain of custody certification is even more relevant today, as it represents a high percentage of the organisation needed for customers to achieve EUTR compliance,” said purchasing director John Lloyd, who was responsible for the company’s original certification on December 4, 2004.
He said more than 97% of Snows Timber’s products were either FSC or PEFC certified and having the certification was an advantage.
“Today major contractors, local authorities and major housebuilders regard chain of custody certification as an extra mark of quality from suppliers,” said Mr Lloyd.
