Wood Germany attracts new member

Schaffitzel + Miebach used spruce, beech, larch, modified wood Accoya and wood-concrete composite construction in its timber bridge engineering.

The company, based near Cologne, was established more than 100 years ago and carries out its own design, engineering and erection operations.

Wood Germany is an international B2B marketing platform set up by Dr Thorsten Mrosek, the former head of the German Timber Promotion Fund.

Clients include the German Softwood Network, an alliance of nine sawmills and timber companies in the Sauerland region of NorthRhine-Westphalia. Hüttemann Holz and Hess Timber are two of the companies participating in the platform.
