We require a meticulous, well organised and enthusiastic person to join the Isle of Man Government’s Sawmill team as Production Supervisor. As Production Supervisor you will oversee all daily production operations and be the one to guarantee that processing and manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process to deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner. You will possess relevant experience in a processing and production industry with excellent supervision and management skills.

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join the Department’s Sawmill team based in St Johns, Isle of Man, to oversee our production operations. You will guarantee that processing and manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organising the workflow. The main responsibilities will include; developing, implementing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators for all aspects of the production line, including the consistency of product quality, despatch and Health and Safety compliance. You will manage production plans, ensuring availability of equipment and components, regularly reviewing the performance of the wastage and yield targets, and taking action as necessary to ensure maximisation of efficiencies.

The post holder will have experience within a manufacturing and production industry ideally in a similar role. As Sawmill Production Supervisor you will be leading a team of production staff, you will be self-motivated, have good decision making skills, be able to take control of the production lines and take responsibility for the results of production and quality. Your ability to delegate tasks, problem solve effectively and work well under pressure are all vital elements of this role.

Please note a full driving licence is required for this post. Appointment may be subject to a work permit.
