Traditionally, the UK fencing sector spends the early part of the year in eager anticipation of the Easter period when the combination of often improved weather conditions and a holiday period generally sparks a significant upturn in demand, particularly in the domestic sector. But to say that 2007 has followed a different course would be a supreme understatement: since mid-January, fencing companies have been inundated with orders which many are struggling to fulfil because of a lack of raw material supply.
