The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) has launched an on-line service which allows members to outsource nearly every part of its Responsible Purchasing Policy (RPP).

Timber tracking specialistTrack Record has designed “RPP on-line” to electronically administer the RPP, which was launched earlier this year to give TTF members a way of demonstrating their environmental commitment. The on-line facility can handle anything from distributing questionnaires to assessing suppliers.

TTF chief executive John White said: “As evidence of sound environmental practice is increasingly required by specifiers and customers, this service will give members the opportunity to immediately build the RPP into their companies and compete for that business.”

Buyers using RPP on-line can enter supplier and related product details on Track Record’s website and the company will then chase suppliers, handle queries, record evidence, propose actions and generate management reports. The service is also designed to make independent audits simple, enabling auditors to readily verify RPP compliance.

RPP on-line costs £48 per supplier.
