Fifteen branches of Howarth Timber & Building Supplies have achieved British Woodworking Federation Approved Fire Door Centre status.
Forty-nine employees from the 15 branches have completed training in compliance with the scheme enabling them to advise on fire doors and components stocked and on how to comply with Building Regulations.
The employees will undergo a refresher course every two years to keep them up to speed with regulations and information.
All products offered within the branches are from manufacturers belonging to the BWF Certifire Fire Door & Doorset Scheme, and are Certifire approved.
The remaining eight branches of Howarth Timber & Building Supplies aim to become members of the scheme before the end of 2005.
