Dogs trust in Pasquill

13 August 2013

Pasquill has provided the roofing solution for a new rehoming centre being built by the Dogs Trust at Basildon.

The company has supplied the main contractor, Abbott Construction, with more than 1,000m2 of pitched roof panels and more than 150m2 of flat roof panels as part of a bespoke solution to achieve a specified U-value of 0.15W/m2K.

The project presented Pasquill with some challenges, it said, becaue the form of the building's roof hip ends necessitated specially shaped panels.

From the top, the roofing configuration is tiles, on battens, on felt, followed by Pasquill's pre-insulated panels incorporating counter battens; a breather membrane; Mitek Posi-Joists; Isover mineral wood insulation between the rafters; a polythene vapour control barrier; and an OSB underlining.

The project was supplied through Pasquill's sister company, Jewson.
