Lumin plywood in warehouse roof application

31 August 2012

Weyerhaeuser’s Lumin plywood has been installed as roof cladding at a new Milton Keynes warehouse.

The Lumin ply, supplied by the local Jewson branch, was specified for the Hanslope Park development based on its structural and environmental credentials, as well as the ability of Lumin distributor International Timber to deliver direct to site.

About 660 sheets (2,000m2) of the 18m-thick panels (CDX grade) were delivered to site over a two-week period.

"Lumin is a relatively new product for us, but we were extremely impressed with its availability and the fact the product is underpinned by such sound structural and environmental credentials," said Ken Russell, assistant branch manager of Jewson's Milton Keynes branch.

Lumin is manufactured in Uruguay using plantation timber and supplied as either eucalyptus or pine-faced and in six different grades.
