MTCC timber arrives at Jewson

Jewson has taken delivery of its first consignment of timber products to be certified by the Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC).

The 106m³ of MTCC-certified tropical hardwood plywood, now being distributed among the company's 600 branches, was part of a 1,595m³ plywood shipment which arrived at Jewson Internal Timber Supply at Hull in early February.

The shipment is the result of a systematic approach by Jewson and Malaysian plywood producer Samling to increase their volumes of independently certified legal timber-based products in the UK.
