New addition to the Unimer board
1 October 2012Dennis Smith, managing director of Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd, has joined the Unimer board as a non-executive director.
Mr Smith has more than 35 years' experience of the merchant industry, having started as a trainee at Jewson prior to moving to Hall & Co where he enjoyed several senior positions before progressing to that of operations director.
Following Wolseley plc's acquisition of Hall & Co in 1999, Mr Smith was appointed to his current position as managing director of Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd, a long-established family-owned merchant based in the south-west.
Mr Smith served as an elected director of the Builders Merchant Federation from 2006-11.
