SCA timber training course dates

The latest round of Institute of Wood Science (IWSc) accredited fast-track timber training courses for the summer and autumn has been announced by SCA Timber Supply.

The northern course will be hosted by AJ Beer & Co in Liverpool starting on June 15 and the southern course will be held at the Soil Association's headquarters in Bristol starting on July 15. A further course will be hosted by Harlow Brothers in Loughborough, Leicestershire starting on September 30.

Places on the courses, which are led by SCA's new trainer Glen Sharples, can be booked through SCA's headquarters at Stoke-on-Trent on 01782 202122. Successful candidates will travel to Sweden in March 2006.

SCA recently completed nine sessions of timber specialist training for Jewson employees and will be delivering further training to British Woodworking Federation members through their softwoods and hardwoods module this spring and summer.
