The Brazilian Embassy’s stand was the first time Brazil had been represented at Interbuild.
Major timber and plywood producer Cikel was looking for an agent/distributor for its range of timber products, such as FSC-certified tropical hardwood decking, flooring and lumber. Species produced include ipé, cumaru, massaranduba and jatoba.
The company currently exports 300-400m³ of hardwood plywood to its panel agent Wood International.
“We are just starting to promote timber in the UK and we need to know what people need and what to offer here,” the company said.
