The truck, designed to allow two people to pick long loads, such as worktops and sheet material, safely and quickly, took the Award for Ergonomics at the Fork Lift Truck Association’s (FTLA) annual Awards for Excellence at Birmingham NEC.
“We worked hard to implement the truck in the UK and I am pleased that the voters agreed that it is worthy of this high level of recognition,” said Hubtex UK sales and marketing director Jim Hammond.
The trucks were initially installed at IDS Nuneaton last year and, Hubtex says, have enjoyed further success with other companies in timber-related industries.
“These awards play a crucial role in recognising the best in materials handling, and every finalist has achieved that status,” said FTLA chairman Paul Nichol.
