Sebastian Bawn has been named Jewson Trainee of the Year for 2003. The award was made at a ceremony for 43 young merchants from throughout the UK.
Mr Bawn, who is a sales assistant at Jewson’s Bristol branch, used his knowledge of building materials to beat four other finalists in a quiz. He also received three vocational qualifications: a Btec in Construction Materials; an advanced modern apprenticeship in customer service; and the Institute of Wood Science certificate course.
Following a room makeover competition, Stephen Young, Ben Bailey, Jamie Langdale, Emerson Evans, Neil Hall, Dave Sprague and John Gilmore won the trophy for Group of the Year.
