Stewart Milne Timber Systems has taken delivery of a new ROBUR 4-way stacker for use at its £10m automated production facility in Witney.

The bundled timber used in the plant is unloaded and handled outdoors by heavy-duty 4-way trucks but the company required a more compact unit for movements within the plant. Stanley Handling was called in and proposed the ROBUR SBP/4V pedestrian 4-way stacker which is designed to enable safe, fast and efficient transporting of timber between storage, sawing and manufacturing areas.

The 3,000kg electric truck was specified to provide increased flexibility in cantilever racking and has a 1920mm lowered mast height with a maximum lift height of 3500mm.
