Cantilever racking from Stakapal has enabled independent timber and building materials supplier Sydenhams to record a 100% improvement in stock selection.
The racking was installed at its Maiden Bradley timber yard, which was acquired from Brockley Timber in 2001, at the beginning of the year and is designed to maximise the space and flexibility within its timber shed, according to operations director Chris Hiscock.
It features double-sided column heights of 4.5m and three arm levels per column side.
“Our timber shed had many historical inefficiencies in terms of stock selectivity and presentation, which had a knock-on effect for our customers in relation to speed of service and accessibility,” said Mr Hiscock.
